MY WHY
Why I Became a Financial Advisor
I was always interested in personal finance, saving more, spending less, and being wise with my money, but it was when I approached my 30th birthday that I had an aha moment. I realized my successful corporate career in supply chain management wasn’t providing me with the passion and purpose I needed.
I did some soul searching and learned three things about myself: 1) I enjoy meaningful conversations with a few people at a time, 2) my personality is that of a caretaker, but it was too late to change to a medical career, and 3) I really enjoyed personal finance. I had heard of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, so I took evening classes for more than a year to experience the subject matter and to talk with others in the industry. I realized I really liked planning and helping others, so I made the career change and haven’t looked back. I love what I do, caring for others and making wise decisions about their money.
MY FOCUS
Understanding Your Financial Goals
Everything we do is focused on our clients’ financial well-being. So, knowing each client’s financial goals and current circumstances is paramount. We then develop a financial plan to work toward achieving each goal and implement investment and other strategies to keep them on track.
We work as a team caring for all aspects of our client’s financial wellness. We encourage clients to call us first with their financial questions or concerns. We’ll help if we can, or we’ll get them to a trusted professional who will. We also work in partnership with their existing professionals, including CPAs, attorneys, insurance agents, and mortgage lenders.
