Why I do this work

Why I Became a Financial Advisor

My goal has always been to leave the world a little better than I found it. For me, financial planning is one of the ways I can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Financial literacy is particularly important to me because of my family background. My mother was a first-generation Filipino immigrant and did not have the knowledge or resources to build a comprehensive financial plan. She worked incredibly hard to provide for our family and help us pursue our goals, but I often think about how different her life might have been if she had access to the financial knowledge and guidance I have today.

That perspective has stayed with me throughout my career. If I can help another person gain the knowledge, confidence, and financial clarity to create a better future for themselves and their family, it is deeply meaningful to me. In many ways, it feels like I am helping my mother all over again.

Holistic Financial Planning

I enjoy helping clients bring the various pieces of their financial lives together — from investments and retirement planning to risk management and long-term financial goals — and creating a strategy that is both comprehensive and adaptable.

Consistent, transparent communication is a cornerstone of my approach. Life can change unexpectedly, and financial plans need to be flexible enough to adapt along the way. The goal is to build a plan that gives clients the confidence and flexibility to pivot when circumstances change, while continuing to work toward their long-term goals.

I particularly enjoy working with business owners and professionals, where financial decisions can often be more complex and interconnected. My focus is on helping clients understand their options, make informed decisions, and stay on track as their lives and goals evolve.

About Joseph

Joseph Kloeckner joined Forum Financial Management in 2026 as a Financial Advisor. Joe began his financial services career in February 2010 with MassMutual Financial Group as a financial services professional. During his 10 years with MassMutual, he also served as a managing associate and registered producer. In 2020, Joe moved his practice to Legacy Wealth Management as a financial advisor, where he focused on providing comprehensive, holistic financial planning and helping clients coordinate the many pieces of their financial lives.

Joe believes effective financial advice begins with taking the time to truly understand each client: their priorities, goals, concerns, and what matters most to them. He keeps their wishes and objectives at the forefront of every recommendation, while also providing honest guidance and education when he believes they may be moving away from the path they originally envisioned.

Joe also places a strong emphasis on education. He wants his clients to understand not only what they are doing, but why they are doing it, and how they can make the most of the opportunities available to them.

While he typically works with business owners and professionals, his clients come from all walks of life. What matters most to him is working with people motivated to take action and committed to making thoughtful decisions about their financial future.

Joe currently serves as vice president of Pro Business Connections of Las Vegas. He has also had the privilege of serving as chairman of the Clark High School Academy of Finance and as a volunteer coach for Summerlin South Little League. He believes strongly in giving back to the community that has given him so much. He supports numerous local charities throughout the Las Vegas Valley and enjoys finding meaningful ways to contribute to the community.

Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Outside of work, Joe is a proud father of two children, Vanessa and Dominic. He is an avid sports fan and especially enjoys following the Vegas Golden Knights, along with other professional and collegiate sports. He also enjoys golf and bowling recreationally and values spending time with his family and being involved in his community.
